Clearing your Cache and Browser History

Clearing your web browser's cache, cookies and history may remove data such as the following:
  • Saved passwords
  • Address bar predictions
  • Shopping cart contents, etc.
While you should clear your web browser's cache, cookies and history periodically in order to prevent or resolve performance problems, you may wish to record some of your saved information first.

Instructions for clearing your cache vary per web browser. Follow the appropriate instructions below based on the browser you are using.

Firefox

  1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History.
  2. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible. 
  3. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
  4. Next to Details, click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all ites. 
  5. Click Clear Now.
  6. Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser. 

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge, select Menu (3 dots icon on top right corner of the browser) > Settings > Privacy & services

  2. Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.

  3. Select "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data" check box and then select Clear.

    Chrome

    1. On your computer, open Chrome
    2. At the top right, click More More.
    3. Click More tools and then Clear browsing data.
    4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
    5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
    6. Click Clear data.

    Safari 

    1. Select the first item "Safari" in the main menu and from the drop-down the item "Preferences..."
    2. A popup opens. Click on the tab "Advanced".
    3. Check the option "Show Develop menu in menu bar" at the bottom. Now you should see a new menu item in the main menu named "Develop".
    4. If you click on the menu item "Develop" you can select "Empty Caches" from the submenu items.
    5. Reload the site.


    Brave

    1. Click Customize and control brave (the 3-horizontal line button) in the upper right-hand corner. Alternatively, use the shortcut Alt+F to access settings.
    2. Go to Settings towards the bottom.
    3. On the left-hand side, expand Additional Settings.
    4. Click on Privacy and security.
    5. Open Clear Browsing Data and a pop-up will open.
      • Under Time range — Choose the All-time option.
      • Uncheck Browsing History and Cookies and other site data.
      • Ensure that Cached Images and Files are still checked.
      • Click Clear data.
